Linear Veil

Cradled by Aspen’s storied mountainside, this landscape unfolds as a quiet conversation between nature and design. Drawing from the language of the land, the garden extends from the lower terrace just beyond the architecture outward along a centrally located set of stairs, guiding residents into a reimagined linear Zen garden—its slender form opening to light as it weaves beneath the neighboring tree canopy.

Tucked into the hillside, a spa emerges among boulders, as if shaped by the slow work of time. A living tapestry of conifers and deciduous trees weaves a green veil against the road, offering privacy without severing the site from its surroundings.

Material choices honor the earth, favoring textures and tones that weather gracefully into the landscape’s shifting moods. Sculptural moments are left to find their place organically—opportunities for art and memory to settle among stone and soil.

Here, the built and the born are never at odds. They lean into one another, crafting a retreat where quiet luxury lives in the spaces between.
